Burger Machine Wins Rube Goldberg Contest

A team of 17 engineers from Indiana’s Purdue University have created an elaborate machine that makes hamburgers, Rube Goldberg style. This year the annual Rube Goldberg Machine Contest had contestants making a burger in at least 20 steps with their machine.

The team from Purdue built a machine that took 156 steps to complete the task. They put in 4,000 to 5,000 man-hours of work and their effort clearly paid off by bringing them to the first place spot.
