Volcano Erupts in Chile

In Southern Chile, a volcano erupted spewing ash and lava throughout forcing 150 people to evacuate their homes.

The volcano, Llaima pushed a column of smoke out of it rising 9,300 feet. The volcano is 9,400 feet tall and is one of the most active in Chile.

There are no reports of injuries at the moment.

Update:

54 people were stranded overnight after a local river swelled and cut off road access. Army personnel has since rescued and evacuated these 54 people.
